I was referred to Seiko's Auto Service Inc. through a friend and now I won't take my car anywhere else! Since I drive a Honda Accord he was perfect! Seiko specializes in Japanese vehicles - especially hybrid vehicles! I used to take my car to another mechanic but it just seemed like the job was never done. Once one issue was fixed - another problem would arise soon after. I always felt like my car wasn't reliable - and somehow would breakdown on me any minute or wouldn't start etc.After taking my car to Seiko's just for a standard oil change, I was truly impressed! He had great customer service, fast turn around time, and even took the time to educate me on the differences in oil quality and showed me the differences in air filters! He also took the time to run a full diagnostic and showed me what problems were present or could arise in the future. He was honest about his recommendations, never pressured me into extra services, and helped me prioritize which repairs needed to be done first and which ones could wait. It was this type of quality service that I felt confident having my timing belt changed a few months later. That was a major preventative service repair that needed to be done but there's no one else I'd trust to touch my car! My car was ready to be picked up the next day and it has been running great ever since! My boyfriend drives a Honda CRV and he also had his timing belt changed at Seiko's.If you want a truly different type of mechanic, one that is passionate about Japanese vehicles, will educate you in the process and be HONEST? **JAPANESE-SPEAKING (Bilingual in English & Japanese)**Seiko specializes in Japanese vehicles. Especially the inner workings of Toyota and Lexus; and their hybrids.I moved to California in February and was in desperate need for a good mechanic as well as a new car. I originally fell upon DTM Auto Salon in Pasadena. Dan, the owner, specifies in BMWs and European vehicles but referred me to "a young, super JDM mechanic who does excellent work and specializes in Japanese vehicles." (If you have Euro needs, please check out Dan @ DTM Auto Salon - super nice guy and really clean work). He gave me Seiko's card and sent me on my way.Since then, I have brought Seiko a 2006 Honda S2000, a 1990 Nissan 240SX and my boyfriend's 2014 Scion FR-S. Though the S2K and the FR-S only undergo minor maintenance, the 240 was a wreck (I think that may even be an understatement. lol). Seiko is patient & thorough. He went over all of the things that were wrong with my vehicle, and helped me to prioritize what we should attack first (in order of importance, and cost effectiveness).In the short time I have known him, Seiko has fixed the following on my 240:1. Electrical issue with all of my lights (brake lights, headlights, reverse lights, turn signals, etc.) since the previous owner had tinkered with it and caused all of them to turn on simultaneously or not work at all;2. Suspension;3. Transmission Noise Issues;4. Power Steering; and5. Motor Swap (camshaft split on my original motor because previous owner tried to rebuild it and failed miserably). Seiko saved me from being carless and catching the bus. We are currently working on my exhaust (previous owner welded one on that is RIDICULOUSLY loud); and we are also looking for parts so that I can fix my air conditioning. Keep in mind, my vehicle is 25 years old and some parts are becoming hard to come by. lol.Eventually, I would like to fix a lot of other little things here and there (I apologize in advance to Seiko for bothering him).Seiko does an amazing job from start to finish. I appreciate that he takes the time to walk you through the process and answer any questions along the way. His shop is clean and he is very professional. His paperwork is always in check in case you need to reference it later. I would definitely recommend Seiko's Auto Service Inc. to anyone. Even if your car is running with no mechanical difficulties, it is good to perform routine maintenance and Seiko would be more than happy to do those as well. If it weren't for Seiko, I would be less two vehicles (crashed the first one, bought a lemon as the second) and catching the bus. I am eternally grateful for his hard-work and attention to detail. I was referred to Seiko's Auto Service Inc. by a couple of friends after getting the runaround from my local repair shop.Upon arriving Seiko was very attentive and was able to diagnose my mechnical issues fairly quickly. It turned out my car was in need of some major repairs, and Seiko was able to resolve them fairly quickly at a very reasonable price.Honesty, Good Customer service, and a skilled professional at his trade... I will no longer bother to head to anywhere else for my car servicing. Seiko is the man to go to!

It's rare to find a good and honest mechanic. But my experience with Seiko was nothing but the best! Three words to describe my experience - Reliable, Quick, and trustworthy. He was very accommodating with my busy work schedule and above all very easy to talk to. Thank you Seiko for the outstanding service!!!

I've always found it a challenge to find a good mechanic.This comes from my lack of knowledge about cars and the horror stories everyone has heard about being taken advantage by unscrupulous techs. For that reason I was thrilled to have met the owner of this new business who is knowledgeable, understanding and offers competitive pricing. I took my Scion XD into his store today and my experience was outstanding. Yes, the business is new. Less than 6 months according to the owner but I see this as a good thing because this means more personal and honest care.Two points to consider (and the reason why I did not give it a 5 of 5 stars):1. The location is a bit challenging to find but once you know its there it makes complete sense. 2. Seiko only services cars that are foreign makes. (I would love for him to work on my Ford truck).These are minor concerns overall and they pale in comparison to the great find I feel I've made with this car shop. I'll certainly be returning here again and again (well if the car needs it :D)

Seiko - one of the only few honest techs left in this world! Coming from the automotive industry myself, I know it is extremely difficult to find a private shop that you can trust to work on your car and not get ripped off. Seiko is an ASE Master Certified tech that knows what he is saying and doing. I had a great experience here and I recommend anyone to give them your business. I watched as Seiko worked on my vehicle and I can tell he takes a lot if pride in his work. Honest, helpful, knowledgeable, and gets the job done right!!! Excellent job!!!

Seiko is the man! The main things I look for in my mechanic is:1. Is he straight up and not trying to upsell me unnecessary repairs? 2. Was the diagnosis of my problem correct? 3. Quality of the work doneSeiko has come through and exceeded all of my expectations. It can be tough to find a mechanic that you can trust and wont try and pull a fast one on you. No worries here! He is thorough and won't try to sell you things you don't need. He's a stand up guy! Plus, he's Japanese. Wouldn't you want a Japanese guy making you sushi rather than some Mexican dude? Same goes for my Japanese car! I mean, they built the damn thing so naturally, I should go back to one to fix it right?! My Honda Accord is running very NIOOOCE right now =)

In February I took my 04 Toyota 4Runner to Seiko to check out a gurgling noise coming from the engine and a coolant reservoir that was constantly filling up. After running a series of tests, Seiko suspected it was a bad head gasket. A head gasket replacement is a major repair to say the least. Very labor intensive. I gave Seiko the okay to start repairs and he got to work immediately. He updated me on his progress and made recommendations along the way, but did not make additional repairs without first consulting me. He was honest about repairs I needed and repairs that could wait. He would also update the estimates so there were no surprises in the end. It took a little over a week for the job to be completed, and my 4Runner has been running great ever since! I cannot say enough about Seiko's knowledge and skill, combined with his honesty and attention to detail. I have taken my vehicles to him before when he was working in Venice, and he has always done an excellent job. Not only is he a skilled mechanic, but he constantly updates those skills as car technology changes. I'm happy to see him finally open his own shop and will gladly drive the extra distance (from Culver City) for quality service. Seiko is a trustworthy, dependable mechanic who stands by his work. I highly recommend Seiko's Auto Service Inc..
