1. 3 YEAR/36K MILE WARRANTY

Most repairs are covered for 3 years 36,000 miles whichever comes first and does not include wear items. Please read 1.1. for in shop warranty details. For nationwide warranty details please visit TechNet Warranty or call 1-866-588-0728.

1.1. TO OUR CLIENTS

Our labor charges are based not on actual mechanics’ time, but rather on our retail labor rates multiplied by published industry time allowances, or on our judgment of the appropriate time to be charged. You will be charged no more than the estimated price approved by you on the work order. If we determine that different or additional repairs are indicated, you will be contacted for your advance approval of a revised estimate. Hazardous Materials Handling Fees will be charged, at standard rates, when items removed from your vehicle or items used in the process of repairing your vehicle, must be disposed of in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

1.2.1. LIMITED WARRANTY POLICY AND TERMS

We take great pride in our work and want you to be satisfied with the results. For that reason, we offer the following limited warranty on all work we performed on this Work Order, unless stated otherwise on the work order.

  • All SERVICE or MAINTENANCE work is covered for 6 MONTHS or 5,000 MILES, whichever occurs first.
  • All REPAIRS are covered for 36 MONTHS or 36,000 MILES, whichever comes first.

If during the applicable warranty period this vehicle malfunctions due to a defective part we installed or labor we improperly performed, then we will, upon delivery of the vehicle to our repair facility within the warranty period, repair or replace the defective part and/or re-perform the labor at no additional charge to you.

1.2.2. THE FOLLOWING LIMITS APPLY - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

  • This warranty applies only to you as the original purchaser of the service and/or repairs, and only to the actual work performed and parts installed under this Work Order. No other warranty is implied or expressed.
  • THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER TOWING, STORAGE, CAR RENTAL, DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, DAMAGE TO ANY COMPONENTS DUE TO CONTAMINATED FUELS OR LUBRICANTS, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF TIME, LOSS OF INCOME OR PROFIT, OR ANY OTHER CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGE WHICH MAY BE INCURRED AS A RESULT OF DEFECTIVE PARTS OR WORKMANSHIP.
  • Seiko’s Auto Service Inc. will not be liable for any costs or charges incurred at other repair facilities without our written consent.
  • Warranty will be voided by overheating, lack of lubrication, off-road use, misuse, negligence, failure to perform normal or required maintenance, abuse, and unauthorized modification of completed work.

While working on a vehicle, components can break or become damaged due to the fact that they are worn or aged. We take every precaution to prevent this from happening and we do our best to anticipate when and where it might happen. However, Seiko’s Auto Service Inc. assumes no liability for any damages resulting from worn or aged components, including but not limited to broken or rusted bolts, broken vacuum lines and broken hoses.

By signing this Work Order, you acknowledge this policy and take all responsibility for said components on your vehicle. If a worn or aged component is damaged, you will be notified of additional costs before repairs are performed.

Future service and/or repair costs are not included in this Work Order, unless so stated in writing. This warranty does not cover any repair or replacement that is covered by manufacturer warranty or any other applicable warranty. California law governs this warranty.

You have the right to have this vehicle serviced or repaired during the warranty period. The warranty period will be extended for the number of days that the vehicle has been in our repair facility for warranty repairs.

1.3. NOTICES

  1. Your vehicle is not insured or protected against loss or damage occasioned by theft, fire, vandalism or any other cause while your vehicle remains with Seiko’s Auto Service Inc.
  2. We are not responsible for any articles of personal property left in the vehicle.
  3. We are not responsible for unavailability of parts or delays in parts shipment beyond our control.
  4. Depending on the type of service requested, some work may be subcontracted. When work is subcontracted it will be documented on your workorder.
  5. All charges for service and/or repairs are due and payable simultaneously with the delivery of the vehicle or upon the expiration of three (3) days after notice that the service and/or repairs have been completed. Notice shall be deemed to have been given upon delivery of written notification addressed to you at the street address or e-mail address given on the work order hereof. If your vehicle is not picked up within three (3) days after such notice is given, you will be charged $75.00 per day for storage. If any charges for service and/or repairs remain unpaid for thirty (30) days after request for payment, Seiko’s Auto Service Inc. may refer such charges to a collection agency and you will be required to pay our reasonable attorney's fees.
  6. Seiko’s Auto Service Inc. is authorized to deliver the vehicle described in this Work Order or any of its contents to any person presenting the original receipt.
  7. By signing this Work Order, you authorize Seiko’s Auto Service Inc. to place a lien on your vehicle for all charges for repairs, including labor and parts, storage and/or towing, and to enforce such lien, in addition to any other legal remedies. Seiko’s Auto Service Inc. is hereby expressly authorized to sell your vehicle at public auction after giving a twenty (20) day written notice by certified mail to the legal owner, registered owner, and Department of Motor Vehicles of intent to do so. On the sale date, the vehicle shall be sold to the highest cash bidder and the proceeds of sale must be used first to satisfy the lien plus storage costs and costs incident to sale (including reasonable attorneys’ fees), and the balance shall be forwarded to the legal owner, or if none, to the registered owner, or if the address is unknown, it shall be forwarded to the Department of Motor Vehicles.

2. TECHNET PROFESSIONAL 36 MONTH / 36,000 MILE NATIONWIDE LIMITED REPAIR WARRANTY

2.1. WHO MAKES THIS LIMITED REPAIR WARRANTY (“WARRANTY”):

This limited repair warranty is extended only to you, the original purchaser, and not to anyone who may purchase your vehicle from you during the term of the warranty. This Warranty is made by the Independent Service Facility (“Facility”) who is so named on the original repair invoice and performed the service/repairs on your vehicle. This Warranty may be honored by any Facility participating in this program, or other authorized facility anywhere in the United States and Canada. This Warranty is not a warranty of Sonsio Management, Inc., TechNet, either company’s affiliates, subsidiaries or any of their employees, or member companies. In addition, Sonsio Management, Inc. serves as the administrator (“Administrator”) only.

2.2. WHAT IS COVERED BY THE WARRANTY: This Warranty covers the following types of repairs and services:

  1. Air conditioning, heating, and climate control systems
  2. Brake system(s)
  3. Clutches (clutch component or assembly repair and replacement)
  4. Electrical system(s)
  5. Emission control system(s)
  6. Engine cooling system(s)
  7. Electronic engine management system and other on-board computer systems (engine, body, brake, and suspension computers), cruise control systems
  8. Engine performance or drivability services and repair
  9. Exhaust system(s)
  10. Fuel system(s)
  11. Ignition system(s)
  12. Starting and charging systems
  13. Steering/suspension systems, wheel bearings, CV joints, half-shafts, and driveshafts
  14. Hybrid drive and 12-volt Diehard battery replacements

The Independent Repair Facility warrants that the above repairs and services performed at their location will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 36 months or 36,000 miles (60,000 kilometers), whichever comes first, measured from the date of the first repair and the odometer reading shown on the original repair invoice (“Warranty Period”). This Warranty is conditioned on the vehicle being subjected only to normal use and receiving reasonable and necessary maintenance during the Warranty Period. Warranty repair costs shall in no case exceed the costs of the original repair or service. If there is a defect in either materials or workmanship within the Warranty Period, the Facility has the option to either perform remedial service work at no charge to you, replace the defective warranted part(s) without charge to you, or refund to you the entire charge for the warranted repairs, minus any previous refunds or credits.

2.3. STATE OF CALIFORNIA ONLY:

A buyer of covered products or services has the right to have warranty service performed during the warranty period. The warranty period will be extended for the number of whole days that the vehicle has been out of the buyer’s hands for warranty repairs. If a defect exists within the warranty period, the warranty will not expire until the defect has been fixed. The warranty period will also be extended if the warranty repairs have not been performed due to delays caused by circumstances beyond the control of the buyer, or if the warranty repairs did not remedy the defect, and the buyer notifies the warranty administrator of the failure of the repairs within 60 days after they were completed. If, after a reasonable number of attempts, the defect has not been fixed, the buyer may return his vehicle for a replacement of parts, if applicable, or a refund, in either case, subject to deduction of a reasonable charge for usage. This time extension does not affect the protections or remedies the buyer has under any law.

2.4. WHAT YOU MUST DO TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE:

You must keep a copy of the original repair invoice and present it when seeking service under this Warranty. If Warranty work is performed, you must temporarily surrender possession of the original repair invoice, or a legible copy of the same. If you can reasonably return to the original service Facility, you must return your vehicle to Facility and present your copy of the original repair invoice to the Facility.

If you are unable to reasonably return your vehicle to the original repair Facility, then prior to any Warranty repair work being performed, you must call the Warranty Administrator, at 1-866-588-0728, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (EST), Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., excluding U.S. holidays. The Warranty Administrator will direct you to the nearest participating Facility location. If there are no participating Facility locations in your area, you may take your vehicle to a non- participating service facility in your area. If the non-participating service facility will not accept payment from the Warranty Administrator, you must pay for the Warranty service and submit your original repair invoice and subsequent Warranty repair invoice to the Warranty Administrator for reimbursement. In all cases, these original document(s) will be returned to you as soon as practicable.

2.5. TRIP INTERRUPTION REIMBURSEMENT:

If your vacation or personal trip is interrupted because of the failure of a covered repair during the Warranty Period and you are more than 100 miles (160 kilometers) from home, you may qualify for reimbursement for eligible meal and lodging expenses. If Warranty repairs required an overnight stay before your vehicle could be made ready for your use, you may request reimbursement of up to one (1) claim per 12 months not to exceed a total of $250.00 for eligible meal and lodging expenses. Contact the Administrator to submit a claim.

2.6. WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY:

You must pay for any non- warranty service you order to be performed at the same time as the Warranty service. This Warranty will not apply to your repaired vehicle if it has been damaged by abnormal use, misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, or “tampering with.” This Warranty does not cover replacement or repairs due to normal wear and tear. The Facility’s employees and/or agents do not have authority to modify the terms of this Warranty nor to make any promises in addition to those contained in this Warranty. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT IN ANY WAY INCLUDE INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (additional expenses which you may incur as the result of faulty repair or service). Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This Warranty gives you specific rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.

2.7. AUTOMOTIVE REPAIRS EXCLUDED FROM WARRANTY:

This Warranty does not cover repair(s) or replacement(s) except as listed in the section, “What is Covered by this Warranty,” even though the Facility may offer other services. Specifically excluded are any repairs involving the removal of the engine, or the replacement or removal of internally lubricated parts and other such repairs as listed below.

  1. ENGINE
    • Any internal repairs or replacement of internal components, or replacement of engine assembly
  2. TRANSMISSION, TRANSAXLES
    • Automatic – any internal repair or component replacement
    • Manual – any internal repair or component replacement
  3. DRIVE AXLE/DIFFERENTIAL ASSEMBLY
    • Any repair or component replacement requiring the removal of internally lubricated components or replacement of the drive axle/differential assembly
    • Ring gear, pinion shaft, and related gears
    • Associated bearing with above
    • Pinion seal
  4. AUTO BODY, PAINT, MOLDING REPAIR
    • Any repair or materials related to auto body repair work
    • Glass related repairs
  5. REPAIRS PERFORMED ON COMMERCIAL VEHICLES with a load carrying capacity greater than 1 1/2 tons
  6. TIRES, BATTERIES (excluding hybrid drive and 12-volt Diehard battery replacements)
  7. USED OR SALVAGED PARTS
  8. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE SERVICES (excluding belt and hose replacement)
    • Oil changes, fluid changes, and flushes, wiper blades, filters
