Seiko is the man! The main things I look for in my mechanic is:1. Is he straight up and not trying to upsell me unnecessary repairs? 2. Was the diagnosis of my problem correct? 3. Quality of the work doneSeiko has come through and exceeded all of my expectations. It can be tough to find a mechanic that you can trust and wont try and pull a fast one on you. No worries here! He is thorough and won't try to sell you things you don't need. He's a stand up guy! Plus, he's Japanese. Wouldn't you want a Japanese guy making you sushi rather than some Mexican dude? Same goes for my Japanese car! I mean, they built the damn thing so naturally, I should go back to one to fix it right?! My Honda Accord is running very NIOOOCE right now =)

In February I took my 04 Toyota 4Runner to Seiko to check out a gurgling noise coming from the engine and a coolant reservoir that was constantly filling up. After running a series of tests, Seiko suspected it was a bad head gasket. A head gasket replacement is a major repair to say the least. Very labor intensive. I gave Seiko the okay to start repairs and he got to work immediately. He updated me on his progress and made recommendations along the way, but did not make additional repairs without first consulting me. He was honest about repairs I needed and repairs that could wait. He would also update the estimates so there were no surprises in the end. It took a little over a week for the job to be completed, and my 4Runner has been running great ever since! I cannot say enough about Seiko's knowledge and skill, combined with his honesty and attention to detail. I have taken my vehicles to him before when he was working in Venice, and he has always done an excellent job. Not only is he a skilled mechanic, but he constantly updates those skills as car technology changes. I'm happy to see him finally open his own shop and will gladly drive the extra distance (from Culver City) for quality service. Seiko is a trustworthy, dependable mechanic who stands by his work. I was referred to this mechanic by a friend of a friend. He is close to my wife's work so she can drop off the car during the week. Seiko (the owner) is great! He was honest and upfront about everything. That's hard to find in the mechanic industry! He was in constant contact the entire time, sending me pictures of the work in progress! I never had to call and ask about my car as he kept me well informed and explained everything to me.If you want honest and affordable mechanic look no further!

If you're looking for a mechanic that is very knowledgable and trust worthy, look no further.As a mechanic myself, It was VERY difficult and time consuming to find a honest mechanic that will care for my vehicle as much as I do. So find yourself lucky that I got the hard part done.Seiko has worked on all 3 of my vehicles. He has treated all my vehicles as if his own. He has worked on my hybrid most recently which I was very pleased with. Seiko was VERY nice and very thorough with his work, showing me pictures of the issues and explaining everything in detail.I had some electrical and wiring issues due to the owner prior. Not only did he fix the problem which was making me lose my hair, he has also cleaned up all the wiring properly as if it came out of the factory. And he didn't charge nor mention it to me! Now that's when you know you found yourself the best mechanic. He'll run through all the options with you according to the situation and will never push to sell anything you don't need. I live in LA but I'll still take my car to him.Car problems are always a headache but I know for a fact that I'm getting the best service and not getting ripped off if I bring it here.

Seiko's Auto is a quaint garage tucked away in one of those "auto mechanic rows" in the city of Monrovia. Seiko is a mechanic that has worked on several of my cars in the past. He worked for a respectable shop in Venice, CA before opening this business in Monrovia. I was happy to hear that he finally opened his own shop. He is attentive, knowledgeable, honest and extremely thorough... which are all very important attributes for me when choosing a mechanic. Most importantly, I never feel like I'm getting ripped off! He's always on point with his recommendations and diagnostics.It was hard for me to find a shop to work on my Prius, once my warranties expired. I found that most shops either didn't want to work on my car or they had little to no experience working on hybrid vehicles. I ended up making the drive to my mechanic, Seiko. I'm glad that I always have a trustworthy guy to turn to... I just wish his shop was closer to me!
